SPEAK UP FOR PATIENT SAFETY

World Patient Safety Day

World Patient Safety Day (WPSD) is an annual campaign aimed at enhancing global understanding of patient safety, increasing public engagement in the safety of health care and promoting global actions to enhance patient safety and reduce patient harm.

IAPO P4PS Observatory has initiated a mapping exercise to gather the efforts of patient safety awareness raising globally, amplifying the patient voice in patient safety.

Voices Of Safety

The International Alliance of Patients’ Organisations (IAPO) and IAPO P4PS Observatory collaborated with BD–Europe to give the microphone to people who have been afflicted with healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), sepsis, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) or medication errors. As part of this Voices of Safety project, patients from around Europe shared their authentic stories of personal hardship and hope in the face of adversity. This already successful campaign with more than 20 million impressions and over 250,000 views on YouTube channels of  BD-Europe and IAPO P4PS Observatory continues in 2021.

We invite you to share your story and help strengthen patient safety around the world and help prevent the preventable harm! If you are interested or need more information, please reach out to Dani Mothci (dani@iapo.org.uk), IAPO membership engagement manager.

We would also appreciate if you could share with your networks and spread the word to others who you think might be interested to have their voice heard.

Thank you!
